Built at the entrance of the Cogne Valley, the Aymavilles castle is easily recognizable because of its elegant structure: four stately circular towers, crowned with crenellations, were realized in the corners of the main part of the building, almost as a protection.
The castle, whose realizing process dates to the XII century, was almost completely reorganized along the centuries and it progressively abandoned its defensive function to become a refined and elegant residence surrounded by a large park during the XVIII century.
In 1970 the complex was sold to the Aosta Valley Autonomous Region, which realized some significant restoration works both inside and outside the structure.
In 2017 we were charged of the floor restoration works with various kinds of ancient wood (deal, larch, walnut).
